Tobias Gehrke

Tobias Gehrke is a Global Fellow with the Wilson Center's Global Europe Program. Tobias is Senior Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations in Brussels. His research centers on geoeconomics and economic security. He has been contributing to several international research and advisory projects for EU institutions, member states, and private stakeholders. Prior to joining ECFR, Tobias was a a research fellow with the Egmont Royal Institute in Brussels from 2017 to 2022. He was also a Visiting Fellow at the National University of Singapore, Nottingham University, and at the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC. He holds a PhD from Ghent University (2022) with the title: “Geoeconomics: How Great Power Competition is Transforming the Global Economy.”
